Inverdoorn Game Reserve Lodge

My son and I had a brilliant time at Inverdoorn. From the friendly receptionist Praise to the the Game Rangers to the waitrons, all of them were superb. Jacob served us most days at meal times and was very friendly and service was efficient and nothing was too much to ask for. We had the best Game Ranger Fanwell, incredibly knowledgeable and hard working. He took us on all our game drives on our week stay and we felt very safe in his hands. We loved the food, very tasty and presented well with a variety to choose from everyday.

Very personalized service, staff all very friendly and happy to assist with all requests. I loved the open fire and the room, and it was all set up for us when we returned from dinner, I just had to light the fire, really a nice touch. The game drives are really nice as going with max 9 persons on one van. Morning game drive in winter is very cold, but we were provided with hot water bottle and blankets. I would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a quiet personal real safari experience.

This was a great thing to do for overnight trip from Cape Town. I didn’t think it would be as well run and it was more high end than I thought it would be for price. Food was exceptional and lots of extras ie star gazing experience all included. I have done lots of safaris and although private gated reserves are different to the big national parks they are still really fun and enjoyable and this was no exception. Would hundred per cent recommend.

These were top things I noticed in poor reviews: Food: Every meal was a buffet. I found the food to be tasty, healthy and with plenty of options. Game Drives: my favorite review "this isn't the serengeti"...correct, the map will tell you that!! while it's not a true wilderness it is also NOT a zoo, you are truly gonna go searching out animals! And you'll see them so close the wildlife will BLOW YOUR MIND! Staff: kind, always willing to help; some friendlier than others but that's how it works with humans Accommodations: totally comfortable and clean; if you're able to upgrade to Deluxe it is worth it for space and privacy

Booked for one night, and it was an amazing experience worth every penny. Some say it’s expensive, but after visiting we don’t think so, seems like a really good deal. You will have a schedule of activities, and we recommend you stick to it with arrival at around 12.30. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a ambassador room, which was a really nice touch, thank you. The room was stylish and spacious, warm air conditioning is provided. No problems with parking. Food - brilliant. Breakfast and dinner are served at a restaurant with a fireplace inside during winter period. In the evening they also offer complimentary stargazing experience, enjoyed it a lot. Safaris are amazing. Johannes is the best ranger you can wish for as your guide. Be ready to wake up at around 6 am and wear warm clothes. This was our first game drive experience, so if you are not new to that - experience may differ, i guess. Lions and cheetahs are really kept separetely from other animals, but i guess there are reasons for that.
